bakers lane?
replied on: 10/10/2006 1:48:39 PM

A friend remembers a bakery in that area during the 1940-50's. It was on the corner of Mill Lane and Wright Street-the entrance to the living accomodation being on Wright St and the bakery entrance being on Mill Lane. It was opposite the LordByron P.H. (now flats-called Byron Court) and opposite (mill Lane) the Miners Arms.

On the site of (and adjoining) the old bakery on Mill Lane and Wright St are newish bungalows and the old bakery building no longer exists.
