Any researchers of the Heanor Ray family?

This one is a bit of a long shot, but worth a try.

There is referance in some of the paperwork at St Lawrence to one of the surviving windows being medieval... but sadly PROOF is missing.

I know that the window was installed in memory of one of the members of the Ray family, it would have been installed somewhere between 1855-1868 and paid for the Ray family ("a historical handbook to St Lawrence's Heanor" claims 1868). Unlike the other windows that have been moved that had glass "plaques" showing their dedication that were removed I have found no information saying that the Ray window had one.

Has anyone done any research into the Ray family? Do we know if any of their accounts from that period survive and have locally heald transcripts that may shed some light on whether they bought it from a stained glass company that just did the window in a medieval style or if the window was purchased from another building / company that could point to it having an earlier date?

Its a mystery that's slowly driving me nuts... it would be wonderful to be able to officially say that the "modern" section of the church contains a medieval window. At the moment we can only claim "it's possible", it would be delightful to have actual proof due to it's close position to the Corfield Window its largly been overlooked... poor thing
