Templars in Heanor?
replied on: 10/17/2006 9:21:36 AM

I must be going barmy so I've delved into the subject. The Knights Templar are a division of the Freemasons. The Miller Mundy family are connected with the Mundy Grove Lodge. This lodge used to meet at the Shipley Boat Inn and was founded in 1844.

The link for the Mundy Grove Lodge is http://www.derbyshiremason.org/long_eaton_hall/lodges.htm#Mundy%20Grove. The home page is http://www.derbyshiremason.org with names, offices held and contact details. Historical records are held and requests for information may be dealt with positive results.

I have no connection with the Freemasons. The information above was supplied by a pig headed desire to find it because I knew I had found it once upon a time on the net.

Tempus, I hope that the information above is of use to you.

regards Phil
