Langley Mill/Aldercar School Teachers
replied on: 10/22/2006 9:05:18 PM Elnor St infants , early 50's , had a school attendance officer --- 6 feet plus and bald as a boiled egg -- named Mr.Trueblood ?? He came to visit you if you were absent from school. Would be a busy man in today's world !! Langley Mill Boys ( now Chris Roads cars ) the unforgetable Spike Perkins -- I was also in Mr Websters religious instruction class ,when the police came in and arrested him. He refused to do his national service ( it was compulsary at that time )on grounds of him being a concientious objector. I don't think he ever returned to L Mill school again . |
