It used to be a fishing spot but was not visited very often. I must have been there a few times during the late 50s. There was nothing special there that I can remember about the place. If I remember correctly the water was surrounded by trees.
The usual route was take the footpath to Coppice passing Cricks then turn right onto Slack Lane. Turn left just after the pit canteen then over the fields.
