Hi, Many thanks indeed for going to the trouble to locate those Shorthose photos - I do appreciate it and although I had seen the gathering of councillors before in the History of Ilkeston book (of which I have Joseph Shorthose's own copy) it was great to be able to print off some copies for my files. With regards to the one of Peacock Colliery - I actually have an original of this photo; I was unaware however that Joseph Shorthose became bankrupt in March 1889 - can this be verified as it is complete news to the family.
Does anyone know anything about the little girl in the other Shorthose photo called June Shorthose? Regards Shortsocks
