May have figured it out.

The School it refers to is definatly Claramount, there is a photo in one of the later magazine for the "Langley School" (think about 1904) Couldn't see a clock, but the image was very low quality.

However, I think by then the clock may not have even been there, there is referance in one of the 1902 magazines (sorry, not got the exact extract to hand) to them celebrating the building of some new school rooms. If the clock kept breaking down / was cheaply made, maybe they didn't think it worth keeping if it was in the way of the new build.
