Derelict house near Charles Napier pub

Am new to the area (Cromford Road), and was wondering if anyone knew the history about the house that's near the Charles Napier pub that's currently rotting away and derelict.

Was intrigued as to why it's standing out there on it's own, how long has it been vacated, and does it have any special relevance to the area?
