A friend's grandmother lived on Fair View -and she has (somewhere - and is looking for) a photograph of the road.
FairView, apparantly had railings around it -some houses were terraced, but not others. The row was originally built (as stated in Heanor Street names) for staff and management of Morleys.
When the photograph turns up I will ask Robert to post it.
A little snippet -in many old Ripley & Heanor newspapers there are odd little comments /letters written to the paper and signed "Fair View"
