Porkpiebaby

A bit more info on the Butchers Arms.
The landlord in the 40s to early 50s was
Mr Wilkinson.
When you stand looking at the pub the extension to the right were two houses
a family named Farmer lived in the one nearest the pub and a family named Newton lived in the other one,Mr Newton (Joe)
used to drive the old steam roller for Heanor council. There were some derelict cottages in what I now assume is a car park.
