I did not know then that i was participating in one of the first experiments in co education in the country.To the complete success of that experiment I can testify on the basis of my five and a half years in the school. In the form Room it was exciting to discover that each pupil has his own desk in which he could lock away the numerous books -exercise and text-that were handed out by members of the staff. For new pupils the sight of masters and Mistresses in academic gowns was somewhat awe inspiring..... The school had a magnificent morale, which was built on planned activities, both inside and outside the classroom. The concept of discipline was based on a general acceptance of routine and of response to the tone set by the staff and the older pupils, it was above all a happy school where the teaching was in the hands of devoted and highly skilled people. more to follow[/quote]
