I've been talking to my sister-in-law today, they owned the Living Fire Centre after Pidd's Decorators retired and she was saying that one of my nephews was a friend of the cobblers son that had the shop between theirs and Smithsons Chemist (now Motapoint) built, his name was Revill he was badly handicapped,I seem to remember he once had a shop near Edgar Parkers and Walter Maine (Wally) who opened a shop in North Street used to work with him.
After Revill finished Brian Thomas took the shop over as a Butchers.
