During the afternoon the Anthem “By babylons wave” (gounod) also songs part songs and choruses were rendered. The Rev. L. C. Fogg (Heanor) preached inspiring sermons in the morning and evening and gave an address in the afternoon. The singing during the whole of the day, which included special solos by Miss Bertha Frost, Derby, was exceedingly fine, and the large congregations present at each treat. Mr J. A. Frost was responsible for the conducting of the singing and Mr Albert Angell added greatly to the success of the festival by his clever manipulation of the organ.
