bailey is not an uncommn name . I have Baileys in my tree who originated from Staffordshire and settled in Denby/Heanor/Langley Mill area in latter half of the 1800's -they were potters and came to work at the Pottery in Denby and then Langley Mill.
Bailey is a fairly nationwide name -and of course in the 1800s people moved a lot more than we give them credit for
