Hi, I'm very late to this discussion. My ggm was Hannah Holmes & ggf Thomas Green. They were married in Selston, Notts 1858. Thos was born in Bolsover in 1837, but I've been unable to locate Hannah's baptism record. Upon reading the biography of John Holmes of Heanor, it occurred to me ggm Hannah might have been born there; however, the record remains elusive. Can anyone tell me if the christian names Aaron & Reuben are or were common in the Heanor area? Those were the names of two of Hannah's sons--remaining sons were John, Benjamin, George & Walter while her only daughter was Laura. If any of this rings a bell or if anyone can offer some advice with my quest, I'd be forever grateful. By the way, Hannah Holmes gave her birthdate as June 8, 1838. Thanks in advance. Ann
