Calladine Fruit & Vegetable Shop

I remember Calladine's shop I always used to get a bunch of violets for mothers day. They were 6d a bunch, one year they had gone up a 1d and I hadn't enough after spending 3d for the pictures (Empire) but a very kind man who worked with my dad at the pit gave me one so all was well.

Can anyone remember visiting the Calladine fruit and vegetable shop on Market Street?

It was run by my grandfather, Thomas Calladine. When he retired my father, Harold Calladine and his sister, Mary ran the shop up until May 1965. Does anyoe remember the family or have any photographs?
