Church/Chapel Summary

Time for more info. Robert. Hope it's of use.

Loscoe Baptist Chapel. Situated very near to the then Egreaves House. Chapel demolished in the early 1970s.

St. Jame's Church, Codnor. Known locally as 'Crosshill Church'. Built 1844.

Also 0f course, - St. Andrew's, Langley Mill.

Loscoe. St. Luke's Chapel. Situated at the end of Taylor Lane, facing the main road. In the early 1950s, it was used as two overspill class-rooms for the Loscoe Road Boys School. Physical Education in the Large Hall/room and the art class in the front smaller room. Mr. Twigg was the art teacher.

The Baptist Chapel, Smalley. It lay across from the old Bell Inn.

Heanor. Park Street Primitive Methodist Chapel. B. in 1887 (for £1.240). Demolished 1970.

Langley Mill Wesley Chapel. B. 1870.

Langley Mill Baptist Church. B. 1836.

Heanor Wesley Chapel. B. 1840. Dem. 1972. The present Methodist Church reopened Sept. 1974.
