F. A. Cup at Langley Mill
replied on: 4/8/2005 7:30:54 PM Yes I remember it, it was on a table outside a house on Woodlinkin near the school I think Sissons lived there, we heard it was there and all ran up to see it and put our grubby hands on it. |

F. A. Cup at Langley Mill
replied on: 9/22/2004 4:18:13 PM Does anyone remember seeing the FA Cup on display in Langley Mill?Noone I know seems to remember-I'm beginning to think I dreamt it! As I remember it was 1958/9-Nottingham Forest must have won the cup - it was displayed-complete with red and white ribbons-in a small window next to the Central Methodist Chapel (now a light fitting shop) on Cromford Road. I remember going up a couple of steps to get closer to it-don't think there was any security or anything! The size of it amazed me. Possibly the window was part of Frank Sisson and Son Builders who had premises there. Maybe Frank Sisson was a director of the club?? Please someone remember it!! |
