Langley Mill Pottery Fire
replied on: 10/17/2004 6:33:20 PM

Having looked in Giblin's book, "Langley Mill Pottery," I can now answer this question regarding the second fire.

The pottery closed in December 1982. In January 1987, a fire caught in the building, and the demolition men who were working in it were forced to flee. What was left after this major fire was rapidly knocked down, and that was the end of it all!

Doug - welcome to the site - all contributions are gratefully received.
