Davis' Shop at Langley Mill
replied on: 10/23/2004 7:46:24 PM

Notes I took a couple of months ago after a conversation with someone at the Heritage Centre:

"Walter Mayne's cobblers on North Street was previously (during WWII) a sweet shop, run by a member of the Davis family. Another member of the family, Harry, kept a florist/greengrocers around the corner on Station Road."

It's amazing how seemingly useless bits of information later fit in somewhere. Hope it is of use.
