Bunkers Hill,Heanor
replied on: 12/4/2004 10:10:13 PM Brian Langley is a village on the outskirts of Heanor, a village which has existed since the Domesday Book and beyond (though you can't tell by looking!). The Arab Inn, was, I think, at the bottom of Breech Road, near to the junction with Laceyfields Road, but the pub no longer exists. You can find Breech Road quite easily using any mapping page on the web. Interestingly, Breech Road is an exceedingly steep hill, leading to Marlpool - could part of this road have been named Bunkers Hill? I'll ask when I next see our the Society's Langley expert.
