E-mail me function

Unless anyone knows otherwise, this problem seems to have been solved now. Certainly, the last few times I have tried it, it has worked. If you don't want to receive emails from other users of the forum, there is a facility where you can switch it off just for yourself.

There is a definite problem with the facility within Chatarea for clicking on a user's name and sending them an email.

I have reported it to the administrator, but he can find nothing wrong, and I have to say that it does sometimes work for me.

I know it can be frustrating if you want to contact someone directly, but I would strongly recommend against typing your full email address on an actual message - there are automated search engines which crawl the internet looking for email addresses, just for the purpose of sending spam.

If you do need to type your email address on a message, then disguise it!

So, for example, to email me, you need to type the following email address without any of the / symbols:
mail/@heanor/history./org./uk
(Or you can copy and paste it, then delete the 4 symbols).

Cheers

Robert
