In the old days, horses were used to pull the wagons Etc. up the steep West/Tagg/Hill/Derby Rd; If there was a particularly heavy load, or the going was rough and heavy for some reason, like detrimental weather conditions, then another horse (or two) would be connected to the existing team - or TAGGED on, hence - Tagg Hill. Azzabuv. |
