Postman's Inn
replied on: 2/1/2005 11:58:36 AM

It could be the reporter was correct?

From where the 'Sportsman's Inn' stood, opposite the entrance to Wright St; on Jessup St; there stood another two pubs at the opposite end of Wright St; This was at the Wright St; - Mill Lane junction, one pub standing across Mill Lane and practically facing each other. Unfortunately, these two pubs are not named on the 1896 map.

Could one of these have been the missing 'Postman's Inn'?
Azzabuv.
