Thorpehill Farm and House - 1891 Census
replied on: 2/23/2005 4:59:38 PM Yes, Robert, you're correct on the origin of the name 'Marlpool', but i was thinking of the 'new' estate, especially as far as the cemetery. The Farm's past influence seemed to spread around that part of the area - no doubt because of Cricks being there. Was Cricks purposely built, or was it a refurbished part of the old Farm? That's an interesting question waiting for an enlightning answer? Azzabuv. |
