I'm not sure of the dates, hence the question but the bits of information that I have point to the fact that Sid and his wife Alice lived at the beeroff in the mid 1930's until about the late 1950's although Sids mum and dad Robert and Elizabeth lived with them until their deaths in the mid 1940's and 1950's respectively. When Robert and Elizabeth took over the shop I'm not sure although I have a battered pewter tankard stamped with the seal of the weights and measures people and each stamp dated 1890 through to 1900, I think this may have been theirs and was replaced when the handle broke, as to any other information I am totally in the dark.
