Ripley and Heanor News March 1905 cost one Halfpenny today it costs 161 times more.
Advert for Home Brewery ALE
Mild 1/= A Gallon
Bitter 1/6d A Gallon
Double Stout 1/4d A Gallon
Taking the average 1/4d A Gallon =2d a pint
Average now £2.00 a Pint =240 Times more.

Forsale
Ladies 9ct Keyless watch and 9ct Gold Chain Albert
£2=10 shillings.
Singing Bill Bailey at Midnight.
George Prince who did not appear was fined
5/= and 10/6d costs for being drunk and disorderly.PC Bulpitt said defendents and others were singing Bill Bailey about the
Streets and that he had received complaints that people could not sleep at 1-0 clock in
the morning.
So thats 15/6d thats 375 Halfpennies or Ripley and Heanors x161 gives an equivalent of £125-78p in todays cash.Today it would not get to court
