East Street - Marlpool
replied on: 3/19/2005 2:39:49 PM The two Families which you mention ring a bell. I used to know Billy Roe, from the late 1940s to the late 1950s. At that latter time he would be aged about 17. The Family lived on Fairview, Heanor at that time. I also knew Terry (Tid) Oxley in the mid-1950s and onward. That Family lived down Langley at that time period. When he got married, his wife's parents ran the Expresso Bar on Mundy St; next to the jitty which took you towards the old police station, across from the Technical College. It's all interesting info. Azzabuv. |
