Jimmy Wilson and the Pond

If my memory serves me well, Jimmy Wilson had a couple of older brothers and either they or their friends had made some kind of rope swing. Jimmy wanted to have a go on it, but had been told he was too small.When the older ones went home for tea Jimmy apparantly decided to have a go on it and fell.I think he died in the ambulance on the way to hospital. I know it had a terrible affect on the whole family-his Mum -a very small lady-always wore black after Jimmy's death and used to wander around "in a world of her own". I think one of Jimmy's brothers went in the ambulance with him and it affected him quite badly. I don't suppose any of the family ever recovered completely from such a sad and tragic accident.I remember being shown a photograph of Jimmy-a little blonde haired boy-he would have been any Mother's pride and joy.
