The 1940/50s 'Best Beers' Pub(s)

Could it have been Shipstone's NutBrown Ale not that I was old enough to legally buy and consume it. The beer off, Ilkestone Road Marlpool C Brookes ?) used to serve you but only if there were no other customers in the beer off.
Queens Head used to be a Shipstone's pub in the 50s and 60s.
