replied on: 9/18/2005 4:24:49 PM No, they're next to each other. At the bottom of Derby Road, you're at West Valley. As you go up Derby Road it turned into West Hill/Tag Hill |

replied on: 4/27/2005 5:11:37 PM I think West Valley is the bottom of Derby Road (West Hill), which fits in with the Roscoe's Post Office, which was near the junction with Mount Street. |

replied on: 4/27/2005 3:29:19 PM Anyone know where West Valley was? Kellys 1881 lists many businesses at West Valley heanor-Sarah Agnes Roscoe Post Office, Mrs Shaw Coffee Rooms, William Prince Shoe manufacturer-also a Girls' School is listed there-to name but a few. 1881 census just gives the address of the Post Office as Heanor, following on is Derby Road, West Hill and Tag Hill |
