Dear Robert,

Many thanks for your reply.

I was wondering, does the Local History Society hold any photographs of Heanor Town Band?

It has been said that my G-grandfathers brother, Samuel Eyre (b.1853) was the conductor of Heanor Brass Band, and my G-grandfather, John Eyre (b.1865) played the cornet.

If it was possible to find a photograph of John Eyre, that would be a real breakthrough, as so far we do not have one.

Many thanks for any information you may be able to supply.

Regards

Simon.
