I think I've also found it on the 1900 OS Map. At the back of the White Lion there is a structure which is larger than the pub. The structure is marked with criss-cross diagonal lines, while buildings are shown with just single diagonal lines. Trouble is, I can't find a key to the symbols used in the 1900 map, to check out what it is.
