Kings Head?
replied on: 5/26/2005 1:27:56 AM No 'King's Head' Pub comes up in the 1891 Heanor Census, Robert. But there are aproximately half a dozen pages missing from it. The Market Hotel is shown as 'The King of Prussia Hotel'. So it couldn't have been the elusive King's Head Pub after that date. So i'm not certain where the 1901 date comes in for it. Perhaps it's logged in one of those missing pages, or was demolished, or perhaps changed into one of those Westhill Beerhouses, or simply changed its name prior to 1857? Azzabuv. |
