Some of the Davis family still live in Mapperley today-I know they are descendants of the old Mapperley Family.
The furthest back I can remember living there are THOMAS DAVIS (married to Doris) -Tom died at least 15-20 years ago. He had 3 sons and 2 daughters -one daughter died abroad many many years ago-she died in a hotel fire -along with her aunt(I think)
A son and a daughter (who married a builder) of Toms still live in the village, one son lives West Hallam area, and one son lives in Holland.
If these are of interest I will try to find out more.
