Air-raid Shelters

Does anyone recall the other type of air raid shelters made out of steel with wire mesh sides they served as a table we had one in the front room it was a great play area
only remember using it once in anger that was when they dropped the bombs in the fields at Aldercar.Remember Dad kept all his
"Dads Army"equipment in it and after tucking everybody in it was the only night i recall him going out on duty.
