The PLEASURE of visiting a 1940s Dentist
replied on: 6/3/2005 11:20:34 AM Wasn't there a Government scheme, for a given time limit, around 1947, whereas anyone who wanted any tooth/teeth removing for free, could do so? I know two people who said they took advantage of this brief scheme and had ALL of their healthy teeth removed (two sessions each) and then false teeth fitted. They were in their early 30s and always wore false teeth all the time i knew them. WHAT can you say??? As they lived in Heanor, it seems Mr. Ward's needle was kept quite busy for awhile. Good... good... Azzabuv. |
