Gas-Masks
replied on: 2/25/2006 12:04:39 PM Peter I remember seeing mine, I think it was like a cot with a large perspex window and used to be kept in the pantry under the stairs. PaulR |

Gas-Masks
replied on: 6/8/2005 1:31:14 PM Can anyone else remember their Wartime issue? They were so hot and uncomfortable, but luckily i was only forced to use mine in a couple of family training processes. The whole head-set was almost as large as i was and as soon as i saw it - i KNEW the Aliens had well and truely landed. Talk about being terrified/petrified, the only other situation which came close to that feeling, was that dreaded treadle-basher at the dentist's, some years later. The dozens of small green crystals buried in the round front, or snout and those leather head-straps plus the large, round plastic? goggles/eyes - they nearly suffocated you wearing them. Adolph had such a lot to answer for............. Azzabuv. |
