Street Games
replied on: 7/24/2005 12:57:15 PM A bit to add to Ice's cart post. No Black and Decker to make the holes so you could get the front wheels to pivot. The method used was to get the poker red hot and burn the holes in the wood. The best set up for wheels was small ex-puschair wheels at the front with a pair of huge wheels from a coach built pram. There was usually space for two, one to steer and brake,if available, and number two providing the motive power. The occupants sat back to back with number two pushing his/her feet to make the cart go. I remember a pair of brothers late for school coming down Breach Road heading for Clara Mount Street School. I have no idea how they made the turn on to Clara Mount but they did. regards Phil |
