Ratcliffe Family - Marlpool.

The funeral of the late William Ratcliffe(68)of Jessop St took place at Crosshill cemetery on Friday andwas preceded by a service at the Bethseda methodist Church conducted by the Rev. G.W. Broomhead, the circuit minister. The mourners were: Mr and mrs W. Ratcliffe (son and daugh in law), Mr and mrs W Pacey(son in law and daugh),Mrs Yates(sister), Mrs Shaw(niece), Mr and Mrs D Foulds, Mr and Mrs J Hicking(brothers in law and sisters), Mrs Shelton, Mrs Walters and Coun J.T.Smith (friends),. The bearers were: Mr E. Hicking, Mr W. Hicking, Mr G. Ratcliffe (nephews) and Mr J. Abott (friend). Floral tributes from: Billie, Nancy and Audrey; Lizzie and Will; Bertha, Dan and Sam; Bessie and Jim; George, Alice and Gladys;Maurice,Nevada and Ida; J. Hicking and family; Mabs, Lucy,Reg and children; Mr and Mrs Walters and family, Little brian langton, Mr and mrs Hunt and family, Mr and mrs F. Shelton and jack, Friends and customers Lord btron, Neighbours and friends Wright St, Butterley Co Ambulance Silver Prixze band and Codnor Cricket Club and members.
