Closure of Langley Mill Police Station
replied on: 8/23/2005 6:43:22 AM

Until Ilkeston Police Station opened (can't remember the year but sometime 1905 - 1912), Langley Mill was the main lock-up for miles, as well as being the house of the Superintendent.

I reckon it was open till at least the second world war, but no-one seems to be certain.
