The increase over the sales for a coressponding period amounts to over £13400 or 6.85%.and represents the greatest increase recorded for many years. Members confidence in the stability of the Society is shown by the increase in share and Penny Bank capital.The former now stands at £271697-4s-51/2d.Dividendon members purchases-£107000 at 1/11 in the £ = £10254-3d. Severe congestion has been apparent at marlpool grocery department for some time and it has now been decided to modernise and enlarge the shop. To do this it has been necessaryto close the Drapery dept, but it is felt our members in that area will receive good service from the Heanor shop" |
