Should read "epidotized quartz feldspar tuff"
epidotised comes from "epidotes"= a lustrous yellow, green or black mineral found in metamorphic rock
feldspar= any group of abundant rock-forming minerals ocurring principally in igneous, plutonic, and some metamorphic rocks, and consisting of sillicates of aluminium with potassium, sodium, calcium and rarely barium. About 50 per cent of the Earth's outer crust is composed of feldspar.
tuff= a rock composed of compacted volcanic ash varying in size from fine sand to coarse gravel-also called tufa
So I suppose it could be called "rock of ages"!!!
