favourite radio program of early years replied on: 9/7/2005 11:41:06 PM Jimmy Clitheroe At his full height he was 4ft 3in, and played the naughty schoolboy from 1958 to 1972 in the “Clitheroe Kid”. I don’t know if it was siuated in lancashire or not, but I do think most references relate to lancashire,his main partner was Alfie,played by Danny Ross. Danny died young at the age of 45 of a heart attack in the 70s,in fact the female who played his sister Susan is the only surviving member of the original cast. Can anyone else remember listening to the show or even watching the television version,which I don’t think took off.He sounded like a schoolboy, but close up on the tv,he look quite old.
