After being demobbed David started his BBC Radio Career as a Newsreader and Announcer.
Some of his many Radio Programs include Housewives Choice,Journey into Space,Pick of the Pops,Any Questions? Any Answers?(Ran for Seventeen Years),And Melodies for You(Ran For Twelve Years)He still hosts a program on Radio 2 Every Sunday called the "David Jacobs Collection"at the age of 80
