Rounders

Hit the thrown/bowled/ ball with your bat/piece of wood as far as you can, then endeavour to touch each of the four corners of the large marked out square, or as many as you could, before a member of the bowler's/hurler's team recovered the ball and quickly threw it back to him.

This was an excellent game for keeping reasonably slim - and eventually..... slobbily shattered. Good fun though.

It was mostly played at the top of Mount St; or Heanor Rec.
