Dunstead?

Ally

I don't think you'll find another Dunstead besides the one in Langley Mill/Aldercar, which is why I've moved the post to that Forum.

What specifically are you looking for?

Dunstead is one of the oldest parts of Aldercar, but comprised nothing more than a few habitations, an early coal pit or two, a brick works, and, in Victorian times, a couple of very posh houses.

Dunstead Lane was what later becane Dunstead Road/Upper-Lower Dunstead Road. The Dunstead pits were off the maain drag.

Regards

Robert Mee
