History behind the street/road names Langley mill
replied on: 10/1/2005 6:05:22 PM So named because it was part of the Cromford to Langley Mill turnpike road, which was itself part of a larger Cromford to Nottingham turnpike (1766). So, for the same reason, Nottingham Road at Codnor is so named, as is Cromford Road at Ripley. |
