The brain cell has been woken from its slumber. The Queens Head was in the early 60s, home to Alan Fletcher, who was at HGS. He used to live with his widowed mother in one of the terraced cottages in the grounds of Shipley Hall. His mother must have remarried and moved with family in to the Queens Head. I have an abiding memory of seeing Alan at an upstairs window doing homework, I assume. This was at the start of my evening paper round from Billy Robinsons.
