POLICE BALL
AT HEANOR
A company of about 600 attended the Annual Police Ball, organised by Inspector H. C. Shorthose and members of the Langley Mill sub-division of the Derbyshire Constabulary, held at the I. and R. Morley Ltd Social Rooms Heanor on Friday night.
Music for dancing was provided by Harold Kyte and his orchestra, and the proceeds were in aid of the Derbyshire Constabulary Widows and orphan’s fund.

Large scale theft of pottery ware, Langley Mill firm fleeced two men sent to prison and nine fired.
